"Hands Across the Century"

“Hands Across the Century” is a one-act play of words and music. The year is 1918 and British composer C.H.H. Parry is surprised to find J.S. Bach in his music room. The two composers are at the end of their lives, and their conversation touches on fame, creativity, and legacy, while they share their music and discover that they have something to learn from each other. Professional actors and long-time Chautauquans Deborah Hazlett and James Denvil join pianist and playwright Sonya Sutton to present this original new work.
